About Fun Reading Skills

Fun Reading Skills is a set of short reading puzzles for grades 3 to 5, with Poss Jonah and the Possum Holler gang. Do five puzzles, earn stars, finish a lesson, unlock a sticker and give your Pet Pal a treat.

How it works

• One puzzle at a time. Stories always fit on one screen.
• Tap any word to hear it (uses your device's own voice).
• Kind feedback. No lives, no buzzers, no timers.
• Five skills: Word Builder, Story Bites, Fix the Sentence, Parts of Speech and Punctuation.
• Two levels: Grade 3, and Grades 4–5 (prefixes and suffixes, longer stories, trickier commas and quotation marks). A grown-up picks the level on the Grown-ups screen.
• Six units, 60 lessons: six lessons for each skill at each level, five puzzles per lesson, 300 puzzles in all.

Fun Reading Skills is free. There is no account and nothing to buy. Progress stays on your own device. We don't use ad networks or analytics. Between lessons we show a small note about our own books and apps; its links open only after a grown-up holds a button.

Fun Reading Skills is a practice game. It is not a substitute for schoolwork or for advice from a teacher.
